Who: Me alone for a 7 days (5 in Amsterdam, 1 day in Haarlem, and 1 day in Delft) and and my family for the latter 14 days (8 days in Rotterdam, 5 days in Maastricht, and 1 day in Kukenhof).
What: My Dream Vacation to the Netherlands
Where: The Netherlands, or more specifically Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Delft, Haarlem, and Masstricht
When: In a year and half, just after graduation
Why: I want to go to the Netherlands to meet my relatives and to learn more about my family. my history and my culture. My Dad went there after he graduated and I want to repeat his trip.
Ever since I was a little girl I have dreamt of going to the Netherlands to discover my heritage and see where my family came from. When my Dad graduated from school, he went on a trip to the Netherlands, and I am saving so that I can repeat his trip, when I graduate. I know my Dad would love it if I went and met his Aunts and Uncles (or as pronounced in Dutch, Taunta and Om) and his cousins and learned more about our heritage.

The Plan
- Arrive in Amsterdam
- Visit the Anne Frank House, Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum
- Shop at De Negen Straatjies ("The Nine Little Streets")
- Take a Canal Cruise
- Visit the Hortus Horticultural Gardens
- Visit De Wallen ("The Red Light District")
- Travel to Rotterdam
- Visit family
- Go to the Beach on the Maas
- Motor Boating on the New Meuse
- Visit Grote Kerk (also known as St. Laurenskerk)
- Bike along the blooming bulbs (Noordwijkerhout)
- Travel to Masstricht
- Visit family
- Travel to Kuekenhof
- Take the train to Haarlem and Delfta
- Travel back to Amsterdam
- Fly home to Toronto
