Ever since I was a little girl I have dreamt of going to the Netherlands to discover my heritage and see where my family came from. When my Dad graduated from school, he went on a trip to the Netherlands, and I am saving so that I can repeat his trip, when I graduate. I know my Dad would love it if I went and met his Aunts and Uncles (or as pronounced in Dutch, Taunta and Om) and his cousins and learned more about our heritage.
Kuekenhof
Lastly, I want to see Kukenhof, which is also known as the Garden of Europe. It is the largest flower garden in the world, with 32 hectors' worth of spectaculor floral displays. There are approximately 7 million bulbs planted annually with a kaleidoscope of colours that truly is a magnificent sight. I feel like a trip to the Netherlands would not be complete without seeing Kukenhof.
