The next city that I am going to visit when in the Netherlands would be Rotterdam. I have a lot of family who live in Rotterdam so it is very important that I visit with them. I want to spend as much time as possible with my family because I hardly ever get to see them. It will be the first time I even meet some of them. I plan on staying for 8 days in Rotterdam, so I can spend a lot of time with my family. There are still a few things that I would like to see when in Rotterdam, but a lot of the time I am leaving to spend with my family, so that I can learn a lot about where I come from and my heritage.
One of the things that I want to do when in Rotterdam is visit the Beach on the Maas. The beach on the Maas is a man-made beach that was intended for city dwellers to have an escape. There are bars, music, children's activities, and sports occurring on the beach all day. My family goes here quite often, as a day to relax, so I thought it would be a neat experience to go see where my family likes to go.
Another attraction that I want to go visit when I am in Rotterdam is Grote Kerk (also known as St. Laurenskerk). I want to visit St. Laurenskerk as it is one of the only buildings to survive the bombing of World War 2. This Church dates back to the 16th century and is a true piece of history located in the centre of Rotterdam.

The last activity that I would like to do when in Rotterdam is bike along the blooming bulbs (Noordwijkerhout). Cycling is the main form of transportation in the Netherlands and I have been told by family and friends that to bike along the blooming bulbs is an unreal experience. The beauty of the bulbs is breathtaking and since it is just outside of the city I am hoping to go with my family and have a picnic. I feel this will be a beautiful place to get to know one another.
